CAD / Design Engineer

A growing manufacturing and engineering company is seeking a CAD / Design Engineer to join their Advanced Projects Team.

You will convert 2D AutoCAD drawings into SolidWorks 3D models, STEP files, and production-ready drawings for precision fabrication, laser cutting, and robotic welding.

This role requires high attention to detail, fast turnaround, and a right-first-time mindset, as once released to production, changes are not expected.

Role Responsibilities

• Convert 2D customer drawings into SolidWorks 3D models

• Produce STEP files for manufacturing

• Create fabrication and GA drawings

• Build BOMs and production orders in SAP

• Compile digital Quality Packs

• Work to tight deadlines with zero-defect expectations

• Update existing drawings and support peer reviews

About You

• Strong SolidWorks skills

• Able to interpret 2D AutoCAD drawings

• Knowledge of fabrication/welding (advantage)

• Excellent accuracy and revision control

• Fast, process-driven, and detail-focused
