Assistant Warehouse Manager

Our client, a leading Irish retailer with nationwide stores and a thriving online business, is entering an exciting phase of growth. They are now seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to join their Galway warehouse management team. This is a hands-on leadership role where people management is critical to success.

The Role

• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse staff to achieve operational excellence

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities including goods in/out, order picking, and loading

• Deliver training, performance management, and team development initiatives

• Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient handling of all stock

• Coordinate store and e-commerce deliveries, liaising closely with operations and logistics teams

• Analyse and optimise warehouse processes to improve efficiency and productivity

• Provide cover for the Warehouse Manager when required

What You’ll Need

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar logistics or warehouse role

• Proven people management experience with the ability to lead from the front

• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

• Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a busy environment

• Retail industry experience is an advantage

• Competence in reporting and use of analytics tools
