We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting and taxation professional to take a leadership role within a busy practice environment. This position combines client portfolio management, team leadership, operational oversight, and tax advisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with an established portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor on a range of financial and taxation matters.
  • Drive the growth objectives of the practice by identifying opportunities to expand services and enhance client engagement.
  • Prepare and review personal, corporate, and business tax returns across a diverse client base, including farming and commercial sectors.
  • Provide taxation, business, and consultancy support to clients, delivering practical and commercially focused advice.
  • Lead the daily operations of the office, ensuring workflows, resources, and client assignments are managed efficiently.
  • Coordinate and allocate client work while providing regular updates and reporting to the Regional Manager.
  • Support, mentor, and guide junior team members, fostering professional development and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Take responsibility for office budget planning, expenditure monitoring, and overall operational performance.
  • Ensure all assignments are completed to a high professional standard and within agreed deadlines.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 7 years’ post-qualification experience within a professional practice environment.
  • Strong technical expertise across all areas of Irish taxation.
  • Proven experience managing a client portfolio and delivering high-quality advisory services.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing junior staff.
  • Experience overseeing office operations and managing budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying business development opportunities.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and committed to ongoing professional growth.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
