Permanent | Salary up to €50,000 + Excellent Commission & Benefits

Job Purpose

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for a field sales role focused on generating new business through pre-booked appointments arranged by the telemarketing and services teams, as well as through personal referral networks. Success will be measured by the number of new business contracts acquired and their value.

This role is ideal for an empathetic listener with strong commercial acumen who can build trusted relationships with SME business owners in the Cork & Kerry region. The product offered is Ireland’s leading advisory and consulting service that supports business owners in all aspects of employee management.

The ideal candidate will be local to the region, possess a proven track record in sales and new business acquisition, and be comfortable executing a consultative, value-based sales approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct consultative, in-person sales meetings with approximately 4 SME clients daily, primarily through pre-arranged appointments supported by an office-based sales team.

  • Leverage professional and informal networks to generate additional sales leads.

  • Collaborate with the Head of Events to organise and deliver monthly seminars for business owners, maximising sales opportunities.

  • Develop new prospect sources by building referral partnerships with third parties.

  • Consistently achieve quarterly sales targets.

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline.

  • Represent the brand professionally and positively at all times.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in high-volume B2B sales environments.

  • Experience selling services, preferably to SMEs, with a strong understanding of SME business owner needs.

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to build and nurture client relationships.

  • Local to the Cork/Kerry region with a history of new business logo acquisition.

  • Energetic, motivated, and driven by sales targets and business development goals.

  • Experience in consultative, value-based selling is essential.

Industry experience is not required as full training will be provided.
